Tuscany is a Rhodes homes built golf course development. It is located in Henderson, east of Boulder Highway, out towards Lake Las Vegas. It is guard gated and will have around 2,000 homes at completion. The golf course is open for public play and homeowners will have discounted rates. The community's 34,000-square-foot recreation center will offers residents amenities which will include tennis and basketball courts, billiards room, fitness center, basketball court, racquetball ball courts, meeting rooms, multi-purpose/craft room, locker and steam rooms, kitchen and card room. The outdoor complex contains a lagoon pool, lap pool and hot tub as well as covered seating. An outdoor basketball court, two tennis courts and picnic area are also on the site. Upon completion, the community will comprise seven villages. This is one of the few local options for a country club type environment at more moderate price points. The architecture of the homes here is very distinctive as you will see if you click on my photo gallery above. As you drive toward Tuscany from Boulder Highway you will see older commercial areas as well as older home developments. From Tuscany east, all the residential construction is newer all the way to Lake Las Vegas. The elevation here ranges from 1,550 ft. to 1,680 ft. above sea level

Prices for new homes, at the time of this writing, February 8, 2010, range from $169,990 to $309,000. Home sizes range from 1,264 sq. ft. to 2,700 sq. ft. Base price for these models reflect substantial reductions from previous price points. Additional incentives of up to $50,000 are also currently available. There are now some resale options in Tuscany. Over the last 3 months homes sold here ranged in price from $121,000 to $342,000 with a median selling price of around $200. Of the 27 properties currently listed, 23 are represented as short sales or bank owned/foreclosures. Resale free-standing homes have a median asking price of $93 per sq. ft.
