Golf at Sun City MacDonald Ranch – Also includes information on golf at other local age restricted communities

Sun City MacDonald Ranch is located in southeast, just east of Green Valley Parkway and south of the I-215. It is approximately 15 min.’s from the strip and airport. This Las Vegas/Henderson age restricted, 55+ community is nestled up against the Black Mountains. Amenities include an 18 hole golf course, recreation center, tennis, jogging, and swimming (outdoor pool only). At approximately 2,400 homes it is much smaller than Sun City Anthem or Sun City Summerlin, but is slightly larger than the Solera at Anthem or Sun City Aliante. Homes range from under 1100 sq. ft. to around 2,300 sq. ft. The golf course is an executive course with very low green fee’s for the residents (presently $20 for 18 holes). Click here for more information about golf at Sun City MacDonald Ranch. Along with Sun City Summerlin it is distinguished by the fact that the golf course is owned by the homeowners. This is not the case at Siena or at Sun City Anthem. It is also a much quicker commute to the strip/airport area than from the Anthem area. Reason being that the drive to the I-215 from MacDonald Ranch is much shorter than the drive to the I-215 from Anthem. The elevation at Sun City MacDonald Ranch ranges from 2,160 ft. to 2,394 ft. above sea level.

At the time of this writing, October 7, 2018 the sales activity for the previous three months reflect 41 homes sold at prices ranging from $237,000 to $580,000 with a median price of $315,000. Of the 26 properties currently listed, one is represented as a short sale or bank owned/foreclosure. Resale homes have a median asking price of $219 per sq. ft.
