North Las Vegas is the second fastest growing city in Nevada.  Situated in the northern portion of the Las Vegas Valley, North Las Vegas encompasses more than 78 square miles.  The City offers a wide range of homes with prices ranging from starter homes to  homes well into the  $800,000.00's. The population of North Las Vegas has grown from 75,0000 to over 190,000 over the last 10 years. The City is master-planning the area at the northern tier of North Las Vegas to produce a product that shouldl rival major master-planned communities in other areas of the Las Vegas Valley. Note that new master plan , Aliante, is now basically finished.  Sun City Aliante is also now built-out, serving the needs of seniors.  North Las Vegas is one of the most affordable areas in the Las Vegas area to purchase a new home or one of recent construction. There is wide disparity between the demographics of the more central areas of North Las Vegas and the newer areas such as Aliante. Median household incomes in the more central areas run under $25,000 a year. Median incomes in the area around Aliante, run over $63,000 a year.

The northern areas of North Las Vegas has Decatur as the boundary between North Las Vegas and Las Vegas proper. Along the SR215 corridor, on both sides of Decatur, there is considerable infrastructure including Costco, Target and many of the other big box retailers.

Substantial changes have taken place in particularly the north end of North Las Vegas. Aliante has been a big success as a planned community plus there has been building all along the I215, especially on the south side. The Cannery Casino opened in 2004 on Craig Rd. and Station Casinos has opened Aliante Station in 2009. Olympia Group has purchased 2,675 acres of land and has signed a development agreement with the city for 16,000 residential units. This development has been put on hold given the economy.
