MacDonald Highlands is a small, exclusive golf course community. It is located south of Green Valley Ranch, in the foothills of the McCullough Mountains. Custom homes and semi-custom homes are available with condominiums and townhomes soon to be built. Less than 1,000 residences overall are scheduled be built including homes on 570 custom home lots.

Custom homes and lots are available in 10 separate and distinct neighborhoods. Lots range from $700,000 up. Lot sizes usually range from 1/2 acre up. The resale custom homes are generally well over one million dollars.

There are 3 semi-custom home neighborhoods finished here. One semi-custom builder is still active with homes base priced between $997,975 and 1,019,975. These home sizes range from 4,546 to 4,863 sq. ft. Many custom homes have been built here and are still being constructed. Lots are also available. Resales for the last 6 months, as of July 3, 2009 reflect four homes sold ranging from $560,000 to $825,000. There are also approximately 40 custom homes under construction. with prices ranging from $2,000,000 up.

The Dragonridge Golf Course and Country Club is located at MacDonald Highlands. Amenities include a 27,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with restaurant, exercise room, dressings rooms and pro shop. Tennis courts are also here. Both golf and social memberships are available. The elevation at MacDonald Highlands ranges from 2,163 ft. to 2,400 ft. above sea level.
