Las Vegas Nevada Luxury Homes

To simplify the Las Vegas Nevada luxury, executive and custom homes market I will divide it into arbitrary categories. First, the old Casino Boss style home. These were built in the 1950's and 60's. Large sprawling properties usually on good size lots. If you drive 6th St. north of Sahara, or south and east of Desert Inn and Maryland Parkway you will find good examples of this style. Second, the sprawling Ranch Style homes built in the 1970's and 80's. These homes were built farther out, both on the east side and west side. The best example of this style of construction can be found by going west on Sahara and going left or right on either side of Rainbow. These are large primarily single story homes, often on 1/2 acre lots. The mid 1980's signaled the beginning of the Gated Community phase. Very large homes often two story in secure gated or guard gated communities. Best example would be Spanish Trails which is south of Tropicana and west of Rainbow. Here you will find million dollar properties as well as more modest luxury custom or semi-custom homes. Canyon Gate is a smaller but similar community. It is located off west Charleston. The present phase I call Homes at Elevation. With few exceptions most of what has been built in Las Vegas has been built on relatively flat terrain. Now, in the southeast, southwest, and northwest building has commenced up into the foothills. Spectacular view lots and properties are available. MacDonald Highlands, Roma Hills, Anthem Country Club, Red Rock Country Club and Southern Highlands are examples of "homes at elevation". One new development is Southern Highlands at the south end of the valley. Custom homes are being built here around the Southern Highlands golf course. Another area of new custom homes is The Ridges in Summerlin. Homes here are in the proximity of the new Bears Best golf course.  New to Las Vegas, with the exception of Regency Towers, are several Luxury Hi-Rise projects including Turnberry, Metropolis, ParkTowers , Spanish Towers and Soho Lofts.
