Los Prados has been around for awhile. The first homes were completed in 1986 and building continued until 2000. 1,356 homes were built at sizes ranging from 1,083 to 3,636 sq. ft. There are several "communities"(22 in all) inside Los Prados approximately 1/2 of which are age restricted. I have been told that even in the non-age restricted "communities" around 1/2 the homeowners are of an age to qualify for age restricted. There is a nice clubhouse with a restaurant and 2 pools, one of which is for adults only. The community is built around an 18 hole golf course and many homes back up to the golf course. By Las Vegas standards the golf course adjacent homes are relatively inexpensive. The infrastructure has improved greatly. Shopping is now much more convenient, plus Los Prados seems not so far out, given the location of current construction. Some homes are attached, townhome style, but most are freestanding. Additional amenities include tennis courts and walking trails. What you have at Los Prados is substantially more grass, trees and water than you will have in any of the newer planned communities. The elevation at Los Prados ranges from 2,216 ft. to 2,300 ft. above sea level.

At the time of this writing August 18, 2010, sales activity in Los Prados for the past 3 months reflects prices ranging from $105,000 to $229,900 with a median price of $158,000. Of the 19 properties currently listed, 12 are represented as short sales or bank owned/foreclosures. Resale homes have a median asking price of $87 per sq. ft.
