This is a showcase of a few of the currently listed homes in Green Valley, Henderson.

There are two reasons I hesitated to include Green Valley as an area. First, it is, strictly speaking, a suburb of Henderson. Second, it is a planned community and at 8,000 acres will someday be dwarfed by Summerlin's 22,000 acres. I included it because it very much has it's own identity. It has it's own high school, Green Valley High. It's schools, by any objective standard are very highly rated. Housing options include apartments to private estate homes. This is a mature community but with a lot of contemporary housing. It is also close to the airport as well as "The Strip". It's general area is south and east of Sunset Rd. and Pecos, extending south to the SR215 and east to Stephanie. There is considerable shopping in the area with the Galleria Mall and other large retail, medical and office corridors.

At he time of this writing, January 3, 2012, sales activity for the last 90 days reflects 172 free standing homes sold ranging in price from $75,000 to $1,046,380 with a median price of $158,000. Condos and townhomes ranged from $32,000 to $195,000. Of the 170 properties currently listed, 107 are represented as short sales or bank owned/foreclosures. Resale free-standing homes have a median asking price of $84 per sq. ft. .

The elevation at Green Valley ranges from 1,800 ft. to 2,050 ft. above sea level. If you haven't decided on an area Green Valley is definitely worth a look.
