This area has grown very rapidly, even by Las Vegas standards. There is a great selection of homes out here. They range from starter homes to customs. Probably the oldest planned community in this area is Elkhorn which is located past Ann Rd. just east of I95. Spring Mt. Ranch is one of the relatively newer planned communities. It located north of I-95 and Centennial. Pulte is a major developer here with many projects ongoing. One of the newest Pulte developments is Silverstone Ranch. This is a very nice project surrounding the Silverstone Golf Club. Housing here in the far northwest is still generally affordable by Las Vegas standards and is, in my opinion, a good value in a developing area. Infrastructure has been a problem, but now there is a major shopping center at Centennial and the I95. A good deal of building is now underway on the west side of the I95 and north of Centennial. The homes on this side of the I95 are at a higher elevation as they are approaching the foothills of the Spring Mountains. This whole area has shown some of the highest rates of appreciation in the Las Vegas Valley.
