The Anthem entrance, Anthem Country Club and Coventry Homes
Del Webb has undertook a huge project at Anthem. Go south on Eastern Blvd. as far as you can go and you are there. The initial construction involved Coventry Homes, Anthem Country Club and Sun City Anthem. Sun City Anthem, alone, will have over 7,000 homes when completed. Coventry Homes is a family community. Anthem Country Club is much the same as Red Rock Country Club on the west side. There is a country club here with golf and social memberships available. Other builders are also active in the Anthem area. Note: A newer senior community "Solera" is not sold out, other than for a few "villas". For more information on Solera click here. The Club Madeira is a new Del Webb family community that opened just south of Anthem. It is guard gated and has a community center with pool, tennis and activity rooms. Some lots have strip and mountain views. It will be south of the present homes/construction at Anthem. Pulte is also building Madeira Canyon in this same area with Lennar also building in this area.

| As of July 3, 2009 new homes in Anthem/Madeira Canyon family communities range in base price from $214,990 to $604,990. Sizes range from 1,580 sq. ft. to 4,817 sq. ft. Note that currently discounts on inventory run from $30,000 to $65,000 with financing incentives $15,000 to $20,000. Resale prices for the last 90 days, on free standing homes, ranged from $135,000 to $1,700,000 with 183 homes sold at a median price of around $280,000. Of the 229 properties currently listed for sale, 86 are represented as short sales or bank owned/foreclosures. Resale free-standing homes average $203 per sq. ft., asking price. This is quite a bit higher than many other planned communities in part because of the higher prices in Anthem Country Club |
One word of caution, the traffic on Eastern, south of the 215 beltway can be very congested. As far as I can tell this is the main practical ingress and egress from these communities for anyone headed to the airport or to most other areas of Las Vegas. With many of these communities still building, it is worth considering what the traffic will be like in a few years. With the development next door of Inspirada, there may be more options in and out of this area in the future, particularly to the west and the I15.
